It's Thanksgiving morning... and I thought it fitting to write a Thanksgiving blog. I had a lot on my to-do list. I was going to get my Christmas decorations up, paint my ugly candlestick holders and shelf, do a little apartment decor shopping... but things don't always go as planned. In fact, really nothing has gone according to plan the past four weeks. In spite of it all however, my life is nothing short of absolute sweetness. I have so much to be grateful for.
1. My wonderful husband who has done nothing but support me and stepped up to almost any task I put him up to despite being as busy as he is. He has been absolutely wonderful through my constant illness and has never once acted frustrated with anything. Except he did laugh when he came home this past weekend to me on the couch with a big pump hooked into my stomache, giant IV pole, and a big bowl beside me for the "just in case". That wasn't funny then, though I'm sure someday it might be.
2. Our jobs. We couldn't love our jobs more and we feel so blessed to have them when so many are struggling to get one.
3. Our educations. Even though Brady is just beginning we are grateful for the opportunities that we have to learn and progress.
4. Grandma's. Both of our grandma's are some of the greatest people we know.
5. Family. I don't know how we got so lucky to have the two greatest and funnest families we know of. And for the most part we are all best friends and get along. And when things get tough, our families are always the first to call and lend a helping hand. I don't know where I would be without our families.
6. The Gospel. It's great to have all the answers I need to be happy.
7. Zofran, although I hate having an ugly pump hooked up to me 24/7.
8. The list could go on and on but I will end it with #8 I am grateful that my charge nurse is sending me home early since we are overstaffed. Sweet! Life is good.
